SALMON ARM SYNERGY FALL TRAINING SESSIONS… NOVEMBER 13TH

 REMINDER… Our Fall Synergy Sessions are over. There is NO Synergy tonight, or moving forward. We will resume in the early Spring. Please use this Blog as a resource and follow any updates and information about Synergy here. 

I want to thank Coach Cristie Jansen, Moriah Jansen, Noah Jansen, Derick Riopel, and Lincoln Thurgood for the commitment and dedication to coaching, our program, and helping our young athletes with their development. 

2024 is a Summer Games year; therefore, those players in Grades 6 - 7 - 8 are eligible to tryout for teams. Synergy will be providing information and updates about tryouts and opportunities for both the BC Summer Games and Basketball BC Opportunities. 

In the Early Spring of 2024, Synergy will be holding tryouts for its Elite Travelling Teams. Synergy will hold Tryouts for U11, U12, U13, and U14 Athletes (Players Going into Grades 5 to 9). Tryouts will take place in March prior to Spring Break, so please stay informed.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2023 …

 NO Training Session Tuesday, November 7th … Our Last Session is Thursday, November 9th… Due to the Long Weekend, we will not be running a Sunday Night Session… Thursday, November 9th will be our last Fall Synergy Session. 

*** Please Note… Synergy may run a Winter Synergy Basketball Program this January, February, and March… Synergy has an opportunity to compete against teams from Kelowna and Kamloops … Please check back for details and information… 

FALL SYNERGY … SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2023

 *Games tonight at SMS for our younger Synergy Players… No Gr. 8’s … Gr. 8’s Check the Shuswap Athletic Blog for Gr. 8 Basketball details and updates (SMS Gr. 8’s Practice Tomorrow Morning at 7AM). 

This coming week for Synergy, we will not be training on Tuesday … Instead, we will Train/Play on Thursday and Sunday… On Thursday, Moriah, Coach Jansen, and Coach Smith will guide all players through a Shooting Program that they will be expected to do on their own moving forward. Look forward to seeing players at the gym!

Sorry everyone… I am still feeling too sick. My cold has gone into my chest, so I am going to take another day to rest. We will go on Thursday and Sunday nights this week. Both nights will be games … participants can attend both nights.

*Pre-Season Basketball has begun in the universities and colleges and the TRU Men’s Basketball Team is hosting a Pre-Season Tournament on Oct 20th to 22nd, at the TCC in Kamloops. TRU plays the University of Fraser Valley on Friday, Oct 20th at 8:00 PM, UBC on Saturday, Oct 21st, at 7:00 PM, and Algoma University (Ontario) on Sunday, Oct 22nd at 2:00 PM. 

*TRU kicks off their regular season play on November 3rd and 4th against Trinity Western University, at the TCC in Kamloops… both games are at 7:30 PM 

*UBCO Men’s Basketball hosts their Pre-Season Tournament in Kelowna on Oct 12, Oct 14, and Oct 15… there are no games listed for Friday, Oct 13th (maybe a superstitious thing???). UBCO plays the Ottawa Gee Gees on Thursday, Oct 12th at 8:00 PM, Mount Royal University on Oct 14th at 2:00 PM, and ST FX on Oct 15th at 1:00 PM.

*UBCO kicks off their regular season play with a home opener against Winnipeg on Nov 3rd and 4th… game times are at 5:00 PM and 4:00 PM

SYNERGY FALL BASKETBALL PROGRAM - SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER 2023

 Salmon Arm Synergy Basketball will begin its Fall Program this week - Tuesday, September 12, 2023. 

Practices/Training Sessions will run on Tuesday nights from 7:00PM to 8:30PM… Thursday nights from 6:00PM to 7:30PM… and In-House League Games will run on Sunday nights, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

All Training Session, Practices, and Games will take place at Shuswap Middle School (SMS).

Participants are reminded to enter the Northwest Gym Doors that are located near the upper staff parking lot. Doors will open ten minutes prior to start times. 

Parents, please pick-up your son promptly at the end of each session. 

All Participants and Parents are expected to read Synergy’s Standards and Core Values (please “click” the Tab above to view). Coaches will teach to our Standards and Core Values, and work with our Athletes to help our young participants learn, understand, adopt, and work towards meeting our Club’s expectations. 

SYNERGY BASKETBALL 2023 FALL SESSIONS - Updated on August 6, 2023

 Our Fall Salmon Arm Synergy Basketball Program will begin accepting Registrations on August 14, 2023. An email will be sent out to existing members and registration will be as simple as an email response. All forms, insurance, and information has already been filled out by our existing Synergy Members. For those wanting to join the program, please email me (Aaron Smith) at synergybasketball2014@gmail.com - please title “IMPORTANT - Request for Fall Synergy Information” … I will send you a information and registration package to fill out and return. For new members joining our Synergy Club Basketball Program, the cost will be $75.00. All Practices and Games will be held at Shuswap Middle School. A schedule will be posted on August 14th.
